Repadding work
- High density and quality natural shellac are used to ensure rigidness and stability
- Replacement of premium lamb pad from.
- All key cups will go through a deep and thorough cleaning process prior to pad installation
- Air torch will be used instead of fire to ensure that there is no damage to the finishing of pad cup and felt
Cork/felt Installation
- Installation of neck cork will comply with standard of the Selmer factory
- Composite cork will be installed to the keys under pressure to increase stability
- Natural cork will be installed for neck and the keys that touches the body tube
- Felt will be installed under the keys of F,E,D,A and front F. This is to reduce and minimize excessive key noise.
- High quality cork and felt from Italy will be used.
Dent removal
- Tools for specific dents will be used to target different needs and situations
- Areas of work include the tube, bell, bow, etc.
- With skillful and experienced workmanship, the technician aims to revert the saxophone to its original appearance/condition
- Every dent work will be quoted separately depending on its condition.
Soldering work
- Lead-free solders are adopted to prevent harmfulness to the player
- All solders contain silver to increase hardness. Soft solder(0.2-3% silver); hard solder (56% silver)
- When soldering the key guard, heat is applied to inside the tube to avoid damage of any lacquer finishes
Fabrication of missing parts
- A lathe machine will be used to construct missing screws
- Brass sheets will be used for absent key guards
Ultra-sonic cleansing (USC)
- With USC, small gaps and holes are cleansed thoroughly.
- With the use of medical detergent, it is guaranteed that each saxophone comes out fresh from its bath, washing away different kind of virus.
- Baritone sax is not applicable.
